This is one of the most famous mountains in Korea which millions of people visit a year. It is called "the Alps of Korea", designated as a national park. This agricultural center was established to promote agricultural technologies, cultivate expert agricultural manpower, to upgrade agricultural villages' environment and to apply the state-of-the-art agricultural technologies and know-how. There are Nongsim Theme Park, an exhibition hall of farming tools and equipment, a exhibition hall of cactuses, and a facility for experimenting new agricultural technologies, and to promote mechanized farming. The Nongsim Theme Park, especially, exhibits 413 items of 176 kinds of agricultural-related objects in there halls (Gawaji relics, Yeonji Mill, Treadmill, Straw Rope Twisting, and Straw Bags). |

Haengju Castle

This castle was built up in the age of three kingdoms. This is well known for a battle field where General Gwonyul defeated about 30,000 Japanese soldiers with about 3,000 Korean ones in February 1593. It's 124 km high above sea level. It is about 450 meters long made up of earth in the middle of the Deokyang Mountain. |

Seosamreung Tombs

There Hwareung Tomb, the tomb of Queen Jang Gyeong, a concubine of King Jungjong, and the tomb of her son, King Hyojong. There is found the name of King Cheoljong who lived in the late period of Joseon Dynasty, These tombs contain jewels and relics of the royal family. And there are also the tombs of deposed Queen Yu, her daughter and son scattered around. |

King Gongyang's Tomb of Goryeo Dynasty

The tombs of King Gongyang, the last king of Goryeo Dynasty, and his wife, are little in size when compared with other kings' tombs. The tombs of the king are found in Samcheok and Goseong, Gangwon Province, which imply the confusion of his days. These tombs are designated "Historic Asset No.191". |

Ilsan Lake Park

This park is the largest man-made lake in Korea, seated in part of Janghang-dong area. The total park area is 313,000 pyeong(1,032,900 m2) including the lake area of 18,000 pyeong(300,300 m2). It's clean and beautiful, being loved by people living in the city and nearby. The 4.7 km bike road and 5.8 km walking path are loved by citizens. Cultural events, local and international, such as Goyang International Flower Fair, are held in the park, providing information and enjoyment to visitors. |

This center was constructed from September 9, 2001 to September 2003 on the land of 86,00 pyeong (283,450 m2). The total floor area of the facilities is 18,000 pyeong(59,450 m2) with one basement floor and three above-ground floors. The main stadium has 42,000 seats and 1,000 seats in its ancillary facility. It looks like a sailing ship in the Han River. The construction cost a total of 134,450,000,000 won. And it has become a famous spot loved by Goyang citizens. |

Lapestar Shopping Mall

This is the largest street and practical shopping mall in Korea where you can look around cultural items and enjoy shopping together. It was opened in August 2003. There is the highest level KMTV here. In the center, an open broadcasting session is held once a day, providing a cultural space to visitors. This mall consists of six buildings and is 300 meters long and 28 meters wide in the total area of about 20,000 pyeong (66,000 m2). It won the grand prize in the field of architecture culture in 2003. |
